This apartment is located in the prestigious Consulens Brygge, a residential project right on the waterfront in Stavanger, offering stunning views of the fjord. The apartment will be available for sale from autumn 2023 and spans approximately 240 square meters, spread over 2 floors.

The rooms and spaces in the apartment are designed to create meaningful experiences for those who will live here, providing a good framework for everyday life.

For me, it is important to create interiors and spaces that are tailored to our daily lives. The kitchen is designed with consideration for the significant events in life where it is desirable to invite many friends and family around the dining table. However, it also has an intimate nook in front of the view, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee when alone. The beautiful terrace outside has boxes with fresh herbs and is experienced as an extension of the cozy seating nook inside.

All the zones in Consulens Brygge are oriented towards the view. Proximity to nature has a significant impact on how we feel. I have tried to orient the interior in the apartment as if they belong with the nature outside, with nothing obstructing the view. The view changes with the seasons and weather conditions, adding a vibrant, dynamic atmosphere indoors.

I have deep respect for the inherent qualities of materials and their ability to influence the experience of a space. They have their own aesthetic value. In the apartment, I have proposed materials such as stone, wood, and metals. The tactile and visual qualities of materials are important, as well as how they change over time, with daylight, weather, and seasons. In Consulens Brygge, I have let the materials create a continuity and rhythm as they repeat themselves in various variations throughout the apartment. Walls, ceilings, and nooks in wood provide a natural and timeless foundation. The addition of stone such as marble adds that extra touch.

I also value sensory elements that we cannot see, such as good acoustics. Soft materials and beautiful floor-length curtains, for example, are all important in creating harmony in the overall experience.
